Seminars

The Kennel Club requires that a selection of mandatory seminars and assessments must have been attended and/or passed by a person prior to being nominated to award with Challenge Certificates for the very first time. WCDC holds several of these seminars a year, delivered by an approved Kennel Club Accredited Trainer

Seminar Overview

Judges Rules & Regulations (Part I):
The seminar syllabus is based on the Kennel Club Judges Regulations and the Kennel Club Guide for Judges. It covers a wide range of subjects from the judges code of conduct through to rules and regulations within the showring. This syllabus is formally examined.

Conformation & Movement Seminar (Part II)
The seminar syllabus is based on the Kennel Club Conformation and Movement Video.

Conformation & Movement Hands on assessment (Part III):
This is a hands on assessment where the participant will be asked to "go over" a dog in front of a KC approved trainer and name key points of reference on the dog.

Stewarding seminar
This seminar is aimed at potential stewards and provides a useful guide on stewarding best practice
